Course Description

This course explores the social, economic, and political developments in Canada from 1914 to the present. Students examine Canada’s participation in global conflicts, the growth of Canadian identity, constitutional change, and the impact of diverse communities on Canadian society.

The course emphasizes historical inquiry, critical analysis of primary and secondary sources, and the development of research and communication skills. Students investigate significant events, individuals, and issues that have shaped modern Canada.

This course prepares students for senior-level history and social sciences courses.

Purpose
